Was a beautiful course. The pace of play was extremely slow but was just simply trying to soak up the Hi'i view and forget about several groups in front of us. We ended playing with local ladies(1 actually works there) behind us from 3rd hole, and they simply made our day. Def coming back when in Oahu and will try to play a little better next time🤙
Very nice course, I love the layout. From the tee boxes to the fairways, they are both in great shape. Beautiful views of honolulu from Pearl Harbor all the way to Diamond head. I would definitely put this on the musty play list here on Oahu.
This is a good little track, but it is good at best for the cost and the distance. It is just good a hair above good at best. Let me begin by saying that the greens, tee boxes and fairways are very well taken care of. The exceptional issue of this course is, it is not manicured, it is not attention oriented in terms of detail. The area around the course is really a nice space but this course lacks so much of what good golf courses have. It should be well-maintained. This one is not! The pace of play is horrendous!! They need a Marshall on this course going from whole won the whole single trip. There was at least a dozen two or three person groups. There were a couple of five person groups. The piece of play was grueling and nobody addressed it.
All the staffs are kind. A good place to play golf. It's a bit old, but it's very cheap instead!!
Nothing fancy here, but the golf course has some great views that stretch all the way to Diamond Head. The golf course itself is in good shape with some nice water features to lose your ball in.
2nd time playing here this week. Love the design and layout of the course. Great views from different fareways looking towards Diamond Head, Honolulu, part 9f Pearl Harbour, the ocean and various mountains. Pace of play was great for the first 7 holes, then started to slow down. By the 14th hole we waited for the group in front of us and they waited for the group in front of them. Sand traps, water hazards, slope on some of the fairways made it challenging but still a terrific place to play.
The pro shop had lots of different Hawaiian shirts with the Roayal Kunia label on them. Prices were very reasonable and had a small curtain area to try things on if you want.
They do have a restaurant and a snack shack there but we didn't order any so I comment on that. The washrooms in the clubhouse were cleaned but looked like years of neglect. Sinks were stained brown, the arborite top was worn out, looked mold growing on the dividers of the uranals. More to mention about the washrooms but I wouldn't want to discourage anyone from golfing there.
The one day most of the staff looked happy and polite. The 2nd time they hardly looked at you or gave you any attention. A couple of fellows out in the field doing yard work actually stopped to say hello or would wave and smile in their passing. We did see a Marshall only once in the two rimes playing there but he was way off to the side looking for golf balls rather than seeing why groups were getting bunched up so much.
On our second game we got a golf cart that was very slow to go up hills. The seat and the dashboard area were clean but like every cart we saw the external shell could use a good soap scrub wash instead of the quick blast with a water hose we saw.
First time playing the weather was quite clear but I didn't have my phone to take pictures. Second time it turned cloudy and then rain once we finished the 18th hole so pictures I'm posting just doesn't do the course justice.
Just found my new favorite golf course at Royal Kunia. The fairways n greens were in great shape, as well as the tee boxes. The best thing is the price, just a tad more than the city municipal courses! Well worth it, highly recommended!
The snack shop is a bonus, with good choices to stop n get after 9 holes, on your way to 18😁⛳️🏌♂️🤙🏽the views of Diamond head were a bonus too!!
Played Monday afternoon. Amazing staff! The course has well managed greens and fairways. Loved the course and views. I live on island so I will be back!
